Rethink Recycling

PLASTICS RECYCLING (WHAT DO THOSE CHASING ARROWS AND NUMBERS MEAN?)

Plastics. They are everywhere in our modern life. From that case of bottled water for the breakroom to the plastic shrinkwrap that covers it, we encounter single-use plastic every single day. Although we do what we can to reduce the amount of plastic we are using, sometimes it’s unavoidable. That’s when we need to know how to recycle it.

There’s a chasing arrow – that means it’s recyclable, right? Maybe. Not all plastics are created equal – and not all of them are equally recyclable. Look a little closer at that chasing arrow. Do you see the number in the middle? That number tells the real story. Plastics are numbered from 1 – 7. Generally speaking, the lower the number, the more recyclable the plastic. Click HERE and let's learn more!
