The Impact of Tariffs to the Local Business Community:A Roundtable Discussion

Thursday, August 23
7:30 - 9:00am
Hugo City Hall, Oneka Room
14669 Fitzgerald Ave. N, Hugo

Opening Remarks by U.S. Congressman Tom Emmer, Minnesota 6th District
Moderator, Doug Loon, MN Chamber of Commerce President
Please join us for a roundtable discussion on the impact of tariffs to business in the greater White Bear area. Congressman Tom Emmer is on the House Committee on Financial Services, and subcommittees on Capital Markets and Government Sponsored Enterprises, Monetary Policy and Trade, and Terrorism and Illicit Financing.

We are all impacted by the new tariffs: Costs for food, cars, appliances, “Kentucky bourbon” and products that use steel from China all face an inflationary spiral. Moderated by Doug Loon, President of the MN Chamber, several area companies that have been negatively impacted by the newly imposed tariffs will serve on a roundtable discussion.

A continental breakfast will be served. There is no cost to attend, but space is limited so registration is required HERE.
