Maplewood Businesses & Employees! Your feedback is needed for the North End Vision Plan!

The City of Maplewood is currently working with residents, businesses, and other stakeholders on a plan for the future of the North End, the neighborhood anchored by Maplewood Mall and St. Johns Hospital.

Due to economic and demographic factors, the North End is changing rapidly. In order for this part of Maplewood to remain vibrant, it is important that on-going change be guided by a clear and actionable community-driven plan that addresses opportunities for new development, better multi-modal connections (i.e., streets, sidewalks, transit, etc.), and improved public spaces. To learn more about the project, visit HERE.
Please help inform the plan by taking the following 8-10 minute survey.

Rethink Recycling

SORTING RECYCLABLES FROM THE TRASH
It’s a common misconception that recyclables and organics (food waste) are separated from the trash by either your trash hauler or at its final destination. Good intending people end up tossing their plastic water bottle in the trash, thinking it will be sorted out later. We’re sorry to say, that’s not true. All trash from Ramsey and Washington counties goes to the Ramsey/Washington Recycling & Energy Center (R&E Center) where it is shredded to be converted to electricity. Read on...
