We are pleased to announce that U.S. Senator, Tina Smith will join us for breakfast and conversation at our next Government Affairs meeting. She will be discussing workforce and trade issues and will be taking our questions. Because of a potential second government shutdown there is a possibility that this event could be postponed. If that happens you will be informed. 

Networking and registration starts at 7:30am and the program begins at 8:00am. This event is free to attend and a continental breakfast will be served. RSVP is required.
 

Transit Discussion with Nora Slawik, Chairwoman of the Metropolitan Council

We will discuss the concerns of the state of transit in the White Bear Area with the newly elected Chair of the Met Council, Nora Slawik. She has served as Maplewood’s mayor and in that role, she has helped lead planning efforts for two planned Bus Rapid Transit lines — the METRO Gold Line and the Rush Line. She is also a former member of the Council’s Transportation Advisory Board. As mayor she has led the city’s economic redevelopment to expand affordable and market-rate housing.

Networking and registration starts at 7:30am and the program begins at 8:00am. This event is free to attend and a continental breakfast will be served. RSVP is required.
