It's Spring which means we made it through another Minnesota winter! Come out of hibernation and join us for lunch at our rapidly growing Lunchtime Networking event. This is a great opportunity to meet new contacts, touch base with friends and enjoy a fabulous lunch. Space is limited and registration is required. Cost to attend is for your lunch only.

The legalization of recreational marijuana in Minnesota could   become a reality, as early as this year. While there are many social aspects to this debate, the issue that has hardly been discussed relates to the impact of marijuana usage on employee policies, overall employee productivity, and other factors affecting the workplace itself. Mr. Curtis Graves, Esp. SPHR, of the Colorado Employer’s Council will share insights on these, and other, topics that Colorado businesses have addressed since 2014 when marijuana became legal in their state.  

The cost to attend this luncheon is $35 for Chamber Members and $45 for Non-Chamber Members. Space is limited and registration is required. 

The White Bear Area Chamber of Commerce, Mn Chamber of Commerce, Northeast Metro Perkins Consortium and the White Bear Lake Area Schools are partnering together to offer a Teacher Externship program to our members. We have a group of eligible educators that will be placed in a member business with the focus on building a bridge between skills-based and knowledge-based education. 

It is vital that our education system partners with area businesses so that relevant connections between classroom content and students’ future career interest can be realized. Through this unique professional development opportunity, educators from around the area will be selected to work side-by-side with an industry peer during a 5 day paid summer externship experience at a participating White Bear Area Chamber of Commerce member business. There is no cost to businesses to participate in this exciting program!

It's finally time to get ready for the golfing season in Minnesota! Join us on Thursday, April 18th for a special Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening for Element Indoor Golf Club and stay for an After Hours Networking Event. After the ribbon cutting, you will have the opportunity to play a few holes on a course of your selection, practice your chipping and putting on the largest indoor green in Minnesota and practice-up for the Chamber's 'Not Your Typical Golf Outing' in June! You don't have to be a golfer to attend! Stay after the celebration and enjoy free appetizers, a cash bar and networking. There is no cost to attend and RSVP's are required for After Hours Networking. Remember your business cards!
