Please visit the
OPEN FOR BUSINESS tab where you will find a whole host of area restaurants and service industry businesses that have adapted their operations to include take-out and delivery, online ordering, drive-thru options and many, many, more! If you would like to be included on these pages, please email
Maureen and she will be happy to help.
We have also added a

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS
The White Bear Area Chamber of Commerce is committed to supporting and advocating for the business community and we are proactively working to get local aid to our affected businesses and their employees. Last week, the White Bear Area Chamber of Commerce was one of the signatories on a letter that was sent from the Minnesota Chamber to the Governor's office requesting several relief programs for local businesses. Please take a moment to review the letter located at the bottom of this section. "Letter to Govenor Walz".
On Friday, March 20, the U.S. Treasury Department, IRS and U.S. Department of Labor announced that small and midsize employers can begin taking advantage of two new refundable payroll tax credits designed to immediately and fully reimburse them for the cost of providing COVID-19 related leave to their employees. Additional guidance, including how to claim the credits in advance, is being prepared and will be posted to the
Coronavirus Tax Relief page on
IRS.gov as soon as it is available.
We are in constant contact with our U.S. and State Legislators and local governments. Please feel free to contact us with any of your concerns, comments and requests and we will be happy to get your messages heard by area decision-makers. We know navigating through this trying time is difficult and the
White Bear Area Chamber is doing what we can to help. We will always welcome your thoughts and ideas.
LET'S KEEP OUR BUSINESSES IN BUSINESS!
