"Strengthen Business through Advocacy, Networking and Education"

Thank you to the City of Vadnais Heights!

Great News! Last Tuesday, the City Council of Vadnais Heights adopted a resolution in favor of allowing 'Flexibility for Local Businesses During Declared Local Emergency for COVID-19.' The passing of this resolution came one day prior to the Governor's Executive Order to allow restaurants to only open up outdoor seating and at a limited capacity. Thank you to the City, the Council and Mayor of Vadnais Heights! Look for more cities to join in these creative efforts in the coming days and weeks!

THURSDAY - Virtual Women in Business - Bringing Hope and a Sense of Well-Being

Bringing Hope and a Sense of Well-Being
Presentation by Mary Verstraete, PCC
Thursday, May 28, 2020

From Wherever You Are!
11:30am - 1:00pm
There will be a “flattening of the curve” that curtails COVID-19 and enables people to move toward a more familiar way of life; however, it won’t be the same kind of normal because of the enormous losses–not just financially, but in lost lives, broken dreams, broken hearts.  Adjusting to a new reality is vitally important to well-being, and communication tools can be effective in helping people generate their unique mindset that is needed to face the future. This presentation will begin to address these questions and give us tools that can influence the development of a courageous mindset for the future that lies ahead.

We encourage you to grab some great takeout from one of our local businesses, (OPEN FOR BUSINESS) and join in some great networking, inspiring conversations and supportive help. Registration is required and you will receive a link to connect to the meeting one day prior to the event. Looking forward to seeing everyone! Stay well and stay strong!

More on Mary Verstraete.

Government Affairs - Mn Pollution Control Agency addresses Clean Cars MN (California Cars)

At Issue: Clean (California) Cars MN and the impact on Minnesota
Guest Speakers: Amanda Smith, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency
Thursday, June 4th | 8:00am - 9:00am

In a virtual meeting platform, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency will be addressing the White Bear Area Chamber regarding Clean Cars MN that is slated to be imposed in the state of Minnesota. Governor Walz is in support of the low and zero emissions vehicles standards and seeks to implement them through the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.

Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) is considering adopting rules that require vehicle manufacturers to deliver vehicles to the Minnesota market that produce lower emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) and other air pollutants. The Clean Cars Minnesota rulemaking has two parts: the Low-Emission Vehicle (LEV) standard and the Zero-Emission Vehicle (ZEV) standard.

We look for a great discussion on this topic and welcome your comments and questions at the end of the program. Registration is required and you will be sent a link to the meeting one day prior to the event.

What are the LEV and ZEV Standards?
