Welcome to Type 1 Life, a dedicated non-profit organization based in Whitehouse, OH, committed to enhancing the lives of families navigating Type 1 Diabetes. Founded as a 501c3 by Lisa and Terry, two mothers deeply invested in the T1D community, our mission is clear: to improve the health and well-being of every family affected by Type 1 Diabetes through education and unwavering support.
Recognizing the critical need for comprehensive assistance post-diagnosis, Type 1 Life extends its focus beyond the diagnosed child to encompass the entire family unit. We believe that by equipping parents, siblings, and non-traditional caregivers—such as teachers and friends—with essential resources, we foster quicker stability and empower children with T1D to achieve optimal self-management. Our vision is rooted in providing educational tools and a supportive network that not only ensures stability and compliance but also reduces the risk of complications, enabling every child to thrive.
