Anthony Wayne Area Art Commission’s annual Plein Air (outdoor painting) event!

Come and enjoy the 3rd annual Plein Air Event from June 4th through June 6th sponsored by the Anthony Wayne Area Arts Commission. The Plein Air painting event is a unique three day painting event in which people are able to see and interact with local artists at work. This year's event will also feature a large craft area for children of all ages.

This year’s grand marshals' for the 33rd Annual Cherry Fest parade presented by Edward Jones-Whitehouse will be Bob and Carol Streight. Bob is not only a beloved veteran in this community, but he also spent decades teaching and being a principle with the Anthony Wayne School District. Despite some health setbacks, Bob and his wife rarely miss a community event. Please Join us in welcoming both Bob Streight and his wife Carol at the Parade that kicks off at noon on Saturday, June 13th!

Roger Spears will join us as one of our guest speakers.  Roger will be giving tips on how to keep you and your business safe online.  Roger Spears, Chief Technology Officer at Northwest State Community College will talk about common password mistakes, what you should know before jumping on a public wireless hotspot and how your activity is tracked online.

The Chamber will also welcome Meteorologist Ryan Wichman from WTOL to speak. Ryan has been a Meteorologist with WTOL since 2011 and previous to that he pursued his passion as a storm chaser.  In the past few years, he has enjoyed traveling to Nebraska, Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas, to chase the worst storms he could find. With Ryan’s passion for both weather and storm chasing, he will be joining us to discuss severe weather and the steps a business can take to keep their employees safe during severe weather outbreaks.

Chamber Celebrates Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting with Whitehouse Family Dental!



The Anthony Wayne Regional Chamber of Commerce celebrates with Dr. Kristen Shumate, who recently opened Whitehouse Family Dental. It is located at 5850 Weckerly Rd. Dr. Shumate is currently accepting new patients at this time, both children and adults. Sales Tax Holiday

Friday, August 7,2015 through August 9, 2015

A one-time sales tax holiday to occur in 2015. The holiday starts on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 12:01 a.m. and ends on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 11:59 p.m.
During the holiday, the following items are exempt from sales and use tax:
  • An item of clothing priced at $75.00 or less;
  • An item of school supplies priced at $20.00 or less; and 
  • An item of school instructional material priced at $20.00 or less. 
Items used in a trade or business are not exempt under the sales tax holiday. If you have any questions regarding this information, please call 1-800-304-3211. 

Chamber Celebrates the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of the Women's House at Bittersweet Farms!

The Chamber joined in the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremony for The Women's House located at Bittersweet Farms on Friday, May 15, 2015. The new women's home is located at 12660 Archbold-Whitehouse Road, Whitehouse, OH 43571.This new home is the first of its kind and will be staffed by trained professionals who assist the residents based on their level of need. The house is designed to house four women with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

The Anthony Wayne Regional Chamber is investing in the purchase of several small billboard signs that will be placed along with the detour signage to encourage and promote the Whitehouse businesses and upcoming local events during the construction process this summer!  Your Chamber is here to work for YOU!  Please stop by the Chamber office if you have any further questions!  

As difficult as any construction project may be for a business, we must work together to promote and maintain your operation and we are open to further assisting any area businesses with marketing and exposure. Bittersweet Creative Arts Exhibit Now on Display At The Chamber Office & Whitehouse Village Hall!

June through September


The Anthony Wayne Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Village of Whitehouse will be sponsoring an exhibit of the work of artists with autism, from Bittersweet Creative Arts, a program of Bittersweet Farms, Whitehouse, Ohio. The exhibit features over 20 works of art by 25 artists in the BCA program. Works include paintings, drawings, mixed media, fused glass and assemblage. The exhibit is free and open to the public, and will be on display June - September at the Anthony Wayne Regional Chamber of Commerce building, and the Whitehouse Village Hall during normal business hours.
