The Illinois Chamber of Commerce joins Ameren to provide awareness to local businesses on utility scamming.    Scammers pretending to be utilities have been contacting businesses via telephone, mail, email, door-to-door, and other in-person scams posing as Ameren representatives and demanding immediate bill payment of personal information.   The Chamber wants to ensure none of its members are victims of utility scams and provides the tools and resources to help reduce utility scams.
