The Marion Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Mindy Reid with Banterra Bank to the Chamber’s Executive Board. Mindy has served on the Marion Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors since 2016.

Mindy is a Banking Center Manager at Banterra and currently oversees two branches in the Marion market.

“Banterra cares about supporting economic development and building business in our communities,” Mindy said. “The largest portion of Banterra’s marketing budget goes to supporting our local communities through sponsorships and donations vs. advertising.”

Mindy is also the Co-Chair of the Annual Dinner Committee and Chair of the Membership Committee, and a member of the following committees: Awards, Bass Tournament, Budget, Community Day, Golf Scramble and Grad Spree.

“I am very excited to be taking on this new role at the Marion Chamber of Commerce,” Mindy said. “Not so many years ago, I was a new member who had very little knowledge of what the Chamber was or did for the community in which I live and work. However, I reached out of my comfort zone to take advantage of the networking opportunities offered by the Chamber. I joined several committees of which many of our areas business leaders are members, accepted the position of Chair over two committees, and was later voted to the Board of Directors. There is a wealth of knowledge and experience on this Board and I am humbled at having the opportunity to serve in a larger capacity.”

Mindy said that her involvement, growth, and success through the Chamber not only shines an exemplary light on the company, but also directly reflects Banterra’s objective of “taking care of our community.”

Mindy took her seat on the Executive Board during the June 5 Board of Directors meeting.
