Women have officially been allowed to serve our country since May 1942 with the Women Auxillary Army Corps (WAAC). Later changed to Women Army Corps (WAC). The Navy formed Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service (WAVES) in July 1942. The Marine Corps Women’s Reserves were also created in July 1942. The Coast Guard created SPAR’s, short for Semper Paratus, the Coast Guard motto, in February 1943. The women that joined these services have paved the way for future generations of women to serve.
Heroes Night Out would like to show our appreciation for your service by offering a FREE Appreciation Brunch!
This is a free event for Women Veterans, Active Duty, and First Responders Only.
Heroes Night Out is dedicated to supporting Women Veterans through collaborative resources with other organizations, programs and social events to help them live triumphantly! This is achieved by bringing awareness to their identity, wellness, community and purpose. The month of March is Women’s History month and to thank our Women Veterans for their service, we are hosting a Women’s Veterans Appreciation Brunch (Saturday, March 9th from 11am – 2pm) to express our appreciation for their service!
