Dear Madison Businesses and Service Organizations,
Thank you for joining us in Making Kindness Contagious in Madison.
It is really spreading!!!
During Kindness Week (February 10-17) you can:
See Kindness...in 25 Madison businesses where service organizations and school groups will display their caring activities in beautiful posters.
Hear Kindness...as the Polson Carolers at 11:00 AM on February 10 will sing “Imagine” on the steps of Scranton Library. They will then proceed through downtown with their 25-yard Kindness Chain singing “You are my Sunshine” and “It’s a Small World” stopping at the plaza where they will repeat “Imagine” before proceeding to FCC where they will sing it again. Do join the parade and let “Imagine” be heard throughout the town through voices or cell phones.
Touch...in the bookmarks and cards created by DHHS and Country School students to be added to Food Pantry and Meals on Wheels delivery; in the warm coats being collected by OLM students for the needy; in the pocket prayer shawls knit by FCC; in the “Little Book of Kindness” containing famous quotes about kindness, illustrated by the young artists of FCC.
Smell Kindness...in the rose bouquets delivered to Meals on Wheels recipients by the Madison Garden Club.
Taste Kindness...at the Chocolate Festival being held in the FCC church house from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on February 10 to benefit the youth service trip to Appalachia, undertaken by students who will help make homes safer, drier, and warmer for local residents.
