Event Description
Registration is now open for the Driving for Hope Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 4 at Cypress Head. All proceeds from this event support the Halifax Health – Hospice Traumatic Loss Program.

The golf tournament will be a four-person scramble with a shotgun start at 8:30 am. It is $100 per person, which includes a light breakfast, golf, range balls, lunch and a gift bag. The tournament usually sells out, so participants are encouraged to register early. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. To register online, please visit www.halifaxhealth.org/drivingforhope.

This tournament was originally started in 2019 when Rick Zimmer Sr. wanted to do something honor his son, Rick Zimmer Jr., and bring awareness to the importance of suicide prevention and the mental health services available in our community. In 2023, the Halifax Health – Hospice Traumatic Loss Program provided $195 thousand and 1,079 hours of service to our community and is the only program in the State of Florida designated specifically to meet the needs of those bereaved by a sudden, unnatural death.
