This event is open to children aged 3 to 12 years, offering a wonderful opportunity for young readers to dive into the world of books and enjoy a day filled with literary adventures. Each child attending the event will have the chance to select two free books of their choice. We will have a wide variety of picture books available for the younger children and chapter books for pre-teens, ensuring that there is something special for every reader.
In addition to the fun activities planned for the day, we are also accepting donations from June 19 to July 8 to support this event. If you would like to contribute, please drop off your physical donations at 609 Broadway Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102 (WESST). Your generosity will help us provide an enriching experience for all the children attending the read-a-thon.
Children who attend the event are invited to return to the First United Congregational Church any Sunday of the month with a sentence about their favorite book they picked up. By sharing their thoughts, they can claim a special reward, encouraging them to reflect on their reading and continue their literary journey. Come and celebrate the love of reading with us. Let's make this read-a-thon a memorable and enjoyable experience for all the young readers in our community. We look forward to seeing you there!
