Event Description
Mining requires transportation to move large amounts of heavy machinery and ore. Railroads were the most efficient method of transportation in the gold rush era. From 1870 to 1910, 5,000 miles of railroads were built through some of the most demanding terrain, and made the settlement of Colorado possible. Meet at the Amphitheater
