United Way’s annual Week of Caring event provides multiple opportunities to support nonprofit agencies throughout our five-county region.
Volunteers will participate at various partnering nonprofit agencies to fulfill their need for help with an array of service projects. This event gets the community engaged with the nonprofits that serve their area and conveys the real-life impact these organizations provide to the public.
The objectives of Week of Caring:
Involve employees and community volunteers first-hand with five-county area nonprofits.
Raise awareness of community needs and services.
Allow contributors to see where their money goes.
Offer employees/volunteers an opportunity to interact outside of work.
How it Works:
Local community agencies and nonprofits identify project needs to UWNCNM.
Companies and organizations form teams and register through UWNCNM.
Individuals or family groups also register through UWNCNM.
