The Madison Historical Society will present a lantern-lit Halloween Ghost Tour on the town green on Saturday, October 26. The 45-minute tour will begin at half-hour intervals beginning at 5:30 pm at Lee’s Academy at 14 Meetinghouse Lane.
The Ghost Tour will take attendees on a tour of five local sites, all on or within easy walking distance of the green, where the ghosts of five historic residents—Captain Ichabod Scranton, Daniel Hand, Captain Frederick Lee, Eunice Bradley, and Charles Dowd—will tell the spine-tingling and heart-wrenching tales of their lives…and deaths.
Attendees will learn about the adventures and misadventures of these local residents as they stroll around the green by the light of lantern-bearing guides. The 45-minute tours will begin at half-hour intervals beginning at 5:30 pm at Lee’s Academy, 14 Meetinghouse Lane, Madison. Light refreshments will be served at the end of each tour.
Registration is required. Tickets are $20/$15 MHS members; $10 students (18 and under) and $40 for families.
