Event Description
In this dramatic reading, the sounds of St. Louis, the atmosphere on the City’s streets, and the background and beliefs of its citizens during the Civil War will be revealed in word pictures. Historian NiNi Harris, author of A Most Unsettled State, will present the who, what, when and where of Civil War era St. Louis. Memoirs, newspapers, documents, and letters of St. Louisans will provide the word pictures.
