Start the new year off with your choice of hikes!
The first hike will be with Ranger Russ on the Moraine Trail. This hike is a half mile hike, a more challenging hike with rocks to step over and around. You will learn what a moraine is and how it came to be.
The second hike will be with Bob Kuchta, Madison's former tree warden. Bob will share his knowledge about the trees in the park. The walk will either be on the Cedar Island Trail or the Willard's Island trail depending on the size of the group.
Inside the nature center, the Archeology Road show will be happening. The public is invited to bring artifacts, rocks or fossils and our archeology friends will attempt to identify them and tell their stories.
