Join us as we celebrate the grand re-opening of Alta Mira Specialized Family Services Inc.’s Respite Home! 🎉
Alta Mira’s Respite Home (RH) is a one-of-a-kind facility in New Mexico, offering individuals with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (IDD) a safe and welcoming space to build new friendships, enjoy activities, and experience community outings—while providing their caregivers with essential support.
Over the past year, thanks to grant funding and community support, Alta Mira has completed ADA accessibility improvements and facility upgrades to fully reopen the Respite Home. These enhancements will increase access for individuals in need of emergency respite care and provide more opportunities for those on the waitlist for day rehabilitation and overnight stays.
Since 1985, Alta Mira has been dedicated to empowering individuals and families by providing lifespan services that foster independence, learning, and community connection. Now, with a revitalized Respite Home, they continue their mission to enhance the quality of life for individuals with IDD.
