Details:
Our school's students (grade 8-12) will attend this event to have a chance to talk to you and explore your career, educational background, career skills, advantages/disadvantages of the job, career ladder, employment outlook, etc. Our hope is that, through this event, students will gain a better understanding of the value of their ongoing education, as well as real-world insight into the various career paths they hope to pursue.
This is not a presentation. You will have one of the many booths at our gym answering questions of the students visiting your booth. If you have tools of the trade, other materials or engaging activities, please bring them. If you don't, we value your knowledge and experience and would appreciate your interactions with our students. As this is an event for older students, the things you have to say are more important than visuals about your careers.
(This may also be an opportunity for your company to meet students who are looking for jobs during the school year or the summer. So, if you hire teens, please let me know.)
