6th Annual Sky Island Tour bike ride

Description:
The Sky Island Tour welcomes bicyclists with its five rides: 5-mile fun ride, 20-mile, 30-mile, 44-mile and 62-mile (metric century). The metric-century ride, which loops through colorful Bisbee and returns to Sierra Vista via SR-90, launches at 7 a.m. The other rides begin at half-hour intervals. The 30-mile and 44-mile rides follow the metric-century ride on SR-92 and Hereford Road but also return on Hereford Road and SR-92.The 20-mile ride follows much of the Cochise Vista Trail within Sierra Vista. The event benefits the National Alliance on Mental Illness Southeastern Arizona.

This event welcomes bicyclists of all abilities and celebrates healthy lifestyles amid the amazing sky islands of southeastern Arizona. The event raises awareness of the advances that have been made in mental health and of the availability of NAMI's free programs to educate, support and advocate for those affected by these brain disorders.
