The West Valley Chambers of Commerce Alliance invites you to join us for an update on the future of water in Arizona. The West Valley Chamber of Commerce Alliance consists of Buckeye Valley Chamber of Commerce, Glendale Chamber of Commerce, Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce, Surprise Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce.

Jeff Gray | Central Arizona Project (CAP) Jeff has worked on legislative issues at the Arizona Capitol for over 20 years and is currently the Legislative Affairs Manager for the Central Arizona Project. Prior to joining CAP in 2016, he spent over a decade as a contract lobbyist representing a host of public, private and nonprofit clients such as Airbnb, Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry, City of Phoenix, Honeywell, Raytheon and the March of Dimes. He draws from his bipartisan experience, having served the Arizona executive branch during Republican and Democratic gubernatorial administrations as Director of Legislative Affairs for Gov. Jane Hull, as well as Government Relations & Communications Administrator for the Department of Housing during Gov. Janet Napolitanos first term in office. He has been recognized by the Arizona Capitol Times as the Best Government Lobbyist, Best Lobbyist Under 40, 2018 inaugural Breakout, and his legislative efforts on behalf of the March of Dimes also earned the award for Best Coordinated Campaign. Jeff is a graduate of Northern Arizona University earning a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, summa cum laude
Doug Durham | EPCOR Doug Dunham is a Geomorphologist with over 30 years of experience in water resource management, environmental management, health and safety fields in both the private and public sectors. He has run several small businesses and managed the international environmental safety division of a Fortune 500 company. He has led large public health studies exploring links between environmental exposures and disease, including childhood cancer. He served 20 years, with the Arizona Department of Water Resources in various positions including Deputy Assistant Director of the Water Management Division where he managed the Assured and Adequate Water Supply Program, Recharge and Recovery Program, Statewide Well Program, Surface Water Program, as well as water rights and conservation within the five Active Management Areas, and ended his career at ADWR serving as policy advisor in the Directors Office as the Legislative Liaison and Department Ombudsman. Currently he is the Water Resources Manager for EPCOR Water (USA) Inc. managing water supply systems in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona.
Ron Klawitter | Salt River Project (SRP) Ron Klawitter is a Senior Principal at the Salt River Project, where he is responsible for managing projects that preparing SRPs water system for the next century of service. Ron Klawitters projects focus on ensuring the future resiliency of SRPs water supply system by evaluating infrastructure and operational changes needed to meet the needs of central Arizona under changing climate conditions. Ron served as Senior Policy Advisor to the Commissioner of the Bureau of Reclamation from 2018 to 2020 before returning to SRP. Ron has worked on water and power resource management throughout his career, starting in academic research at the Climate Assessment for the Southwest (CLIMAS) at the University of Arizona and in the W.A. Franke College of Business at Northern Arizona University before working at SRP and in the U.S. Department of the Interior. Ron has a Bachelors Degree in Economics and Mathematics from Northern Arizona University and a Masters Degree in Applied Economics from the University of Arizona. Ron was born and raised in Arizona and grew up swimming in the canals and irrigation ponds of Arizonas Verde Valley that are fed by the Verde River.
Warren Tenney | Arizona Municipal Water Users Association Warren Tenney is the Executive Director of the Arizona Municipal Water Users Association (AMWUA); whose members include ten major municipalities in the Valley and collectively serve nearly 3.7 million people, more than half of the States population. Warren is a member of the Governors Water Council and is co chairing the Councils Post 2025 AMAs Committee. He was elected twice to the Central Arizona Project Board of Directors representing Pima County. He served as Vice President of the CAP Board and as Chair of the Boards Finance, Audit & Power Committee for three years. Warren is a fourth generation Arizonan. He earned his B.A. at Arizona State University and earned an M.A. at Northern Arizona University.
