Born and raised in New York, Joanne LaPorta moved to Colorado 22 years ago. She presently lives in Parker with her husband, John and they are the proud parents to three sons, Sean - 27, Patrick - 25, and Brian - 22. After working as an audiologist for 20 years, Joanne felt compelled to start her own practice. With the wonderful support of her husband and a colleague, Accent on Hearing was opened in 2005. Joanne knew she could offer her community comfortable, trustworthy, and professional attention to their hearing health; addressing not only hearing loss and tinnitus, but hearing prevention as well. Joanne loves what she does! Hearing loss and tinnitus can negatively affect people’s lives causing frustration, depression, isolation, stress, and strained relationships.
