Happy Independence Day from The Castle Pines Chamber!

Correction! Fireworks Have Been Postponed Until July 24.

CORRECTION FROM PREVIOUS EMAIL: 
Due to Stage 2 Fire Restrictions enacted on July 2, 2020, the Douglas County Independence Day fireworks shows have been postponed to July 24 in Castle Rock as a kick-off to the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo – dependent on weather and fire restrictions.

Pilates in The Park is Back and Now is a Perfect Time To Enjoy The Outdoors!

Pilates in the Park
It’s time to get centered, balanced and re-energized with Pilates in the Park.The City is hosting four free events:
  • Saturday 7/11 - Retreat Park 9:00 - 10:00 am
  • Wednesday 7/15 - Elk Ridge Park 6:30 - 7:30 pm
  • Wednesday 8/19 - Elk Ridge Park 6:30 - 7:30 pm
  • Saturday in August - TBD
Beginners to advanced pilate gurus will be guided by a professional instructor during the hour-long session for those 18 years and older. The class is designed to balance and tone your muscles,
align the body, strengthen the core and give renewed energy
.
Don’t forget to bring your energy, padded mat, water and be prepared to sign a waiver.

We have missed seeing you out in the community and we are looking forward to seeing you!

Important Event and Gathering Update from Douglas County!


 

Late Friday, June 26, Douglas County received a letter of approval from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment(CDPHE) pertaining to the County’s variance request for gatherings, receptions, events and life rites – and the County’s variance request for theaters, team sports and pools.

Approvals are specific to limited capacities, sustainability of favorable public health data, with social distancing and adherence to public health orders. The approvals will:

  • Allow 175 people indoors and 250 outdoors for: gatherings, receptions, events and life rites; indoor and outdoor pools;
  • Allow 50 players indoors and outdoors for recreational league sports and tournaments;
  • Allow libraries and bowling alleys to expand to 50% capacity not to exceed 175 people indoors; and
  • Allow 175 people indoors at movie theaters, performance theaters, opera houses, concert halls and music halls.
