The City of Castle Pines is hosting Food Truck Thursdays, a new event beginning May 27th and running through August 5th. Each Thursday this summer from 4 – 8 pm, two food trucks (one savory and one sweet) will park in the Elk Ridge Park parking lot for community members to come and enjoy. The City will post names of the food trucks each week to these event listings as well as to the event listing on the City’s Facebook page. The names of five students from each of the seven IREA director districts will be randomly drawn to receive the grants during the June Board of Directors meeting. The event was a huge success raising $3,000 for the Chamber. We also filled three entire truckloads FULL of paint! As some of you know, our event trailer with approximately $10,000 worth of equipment was stolen last year. We still have a ways to go to raise the funds needed to replace our items.
