The City of Castle Pines is partnering with residents to organize the city’s first-ever Spring Cleanup Day. While cleanup days have been hosted by neighborhood HOAs and the Castle Pines North Metropolitan District in the past, there has never been a citywide effort. As the community grows, it’s more important than ever to keep the beautiful parks and open space that make Castle Pines special free of trash and other debris. This year’s cleanup day will take place on Saturday, April 1, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, weather permitting. Register to participate at one of four sites throughout the city (Elk Ridge Park, Coyote Ridge Park, Retreat Park, or The Green (The Canyons)). Gloves and trash bags will be available at each location. After picking up your materials, you are free to pick up trash, weeds, and other debris at any park location or any other public area that you know may need a little beautification. A trash dropoff site will be available at King Soopers parking lot until 12:30 p.m., where you can also pick up free coffee or hot chocolate, provided by The Canyons, and enter for a chance to win a gift card to a local business. Don't forget to bring a basket to collect all your eggs! The event takes place at The Ridge golf course driving range (1414 Castle Pines Pkwy.) with designated egg-hunting areas based on age.
