City hosting free slash collection event on Saturday, June 3, at Elk Ridge Park

With spring and yard projects in full swing, the City is hosting a free slash collection event for residents at Elk Ridge Park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 3. "Slash" is debris, from nature, such as tree limbs, prunings, and pine needles. If not removed, slash can increase potential fire hazards on your property. Removing slash, and creating defensible space around your home, is the first line of defense against wildfires.

Bring tree limbs, prunings, pine needles, or other yard debris to Elk Ridge Park for free disposal. Please limit the diameter of trunks or limbs to less than 16 inches. No lumber is allowed, and please ensure there is no metal (nails, screws, etc.) or rocks in the materials you drop off.

Diamonds really are forever-at least for fans of Neil Diamond. Some of the best musicians in Denver come together to form a one-of-a-kind Neil Diamond Tribute - "Forever In Blue Jeans."

FIBJ was created with the intent to give listeners the feeling that they're at a real Neil Diamond show. That is exactly what they've done. The frontman and mastermind of this project is Aaron Rose, a lifetime Neil Diamond fan. After honing his voice and presence to replicate those of the real Neil, Rose set out to find the perfect mix of musicians for the show. This tribute has brought together members of many local Denver bands, such as the Blooz Dogz, Broken Tongues, Elephant Revival, and Lovechild, as well as solo performers and some of the most experienced and well-known players in the Denver scene.

Forever In Blue Jeans creates for the audience an authentic Neil Diamond experience that's sure to please. Playing all the Hits, this tribute truly delivers!
