First Impressions

Kelly Dyer

Potential business owners only have one chance to make a good first impression with a lender. Biz Liftoff makes sure they do it right!

Biz Liftoff creates professional looking reports to “WOW” the lender, future partner or investor.  This is where all your business information comes together to create a virtual picture of potential business owner’s start-up needs.

Lenders and investors want to know three things:

  1. Does the potential business owner have the expertise to create and run this business?

  2. How much do they need to get started?

  3. How will the lender/investor get their money back?

Through narrative reports and easy-to-follow projections, Biz Liftoff helps lenders and potential investors understand the potential business’s resource requirements and the business owner’s chances of success.

Ask how you can get Biz Liftoff into the hands of potential business owners in your community and earn non dues revenue for your chamber.

From the President

Victoria Brees

The CCEM Board of Directors recently held their Board meeting and what an amazing group of
individuals that have been elected. They truly care about the local chambers and want the best for each of you.

We reviewed the financial statements and are ahead of last year regarding our membership dues. Thanks to each of you for belonging to such a great organization.

We have several new members and new staff to the Chamber industry. If any are in your district, please welcome them to this industry. It can be overwhelming at first.

The MAKO conference was held in Rogers, Arkansas this year. We had a great time checking
out a new area. The MAKO board is currently reviewing proposal for the 2018 conference we
will let you know as soon as a decision has been made.

As I mentioned in the last newsletter, CCEM has been contacted by Capital One to participate in their affinity program. In exchange for the CCEM Membership list, Capital One will sponsor CCEM for the 2017 program year. They should be contacting each of the CCEM members to see if you are interested in participating with your local Chamber. You are not required to participate, but it is something we wanted to offer local Chambers. Please let us know if you have any questions.

The new website in which Chamber Nation is updating for CCEM is available. Please check it out at www.ccemo.org!

Chamber Management Academy will be held August 10-11at the Missouri Chamber in Jefferson City. If you have new staff, please consider sending them to this two-day informational session.

We appreciate all the involvement by all the different districts. It has been great to hear news from the local chambers as well as see pictures from your lunch meetings. We are currently in the process of re-working a couple of districts and will update you as they are finalized.

The planning stages for fall conference will begin in the next couple of weeks. If you are
interested in serving on this committee, please let me know. The conference will be held at the
Hilton Convention Center on the Branson Landing September 20-22. You will not want to miss
this year!

As always, if you need anything, please do not hesitate to ask around as another Chamber has likely been in a similar situation or had the same question.
