It’s finally here, and with it comes Golf Tournaments, Runs, Expos, and MAKO! Yes, MAKO is just a couple of short days away. I hope that you are all planning on attending this fantastic professional development event. We’d like to invite all Missourians to attend a brief happy hour in the hospitality suite at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 27^th to give us a chance to catch up with one another and (of course) get a photo op. Please remember to wear RED on Sunday! MAKO comes together through the work of an inter-state committee with representatives from each participating state. Thank you to our CCEM representation Kerry Klump, Troy Area Chamber and MAKO Co-Chair, Stevie Kearse, Rolla Area Chamber, Ginger Lamar, Joplin Area Chamber, and of course, our Executive Director, Ann Kleffner. The committee has put together an agenda jam packed with great information for Chamber professionals at every level. While I have you, I’d also like to plug the discussion boards on CCEM, we have had some great Q&A going on lately, and I’d like to encourage everyone to keep those up. I have learned so much from all of you; please continue sharing your knowledge! In Missouri, we are so blessed to have so many Chamber Industry leaders! These leaders have once again volunteered thier time to teach those new to the profession, those who need a refresher, and those who have just been flying by the seat of thier pants for the past X amount of years! CMA attendees will learn everything from financial awareness, special events and board relations as well as many other topics pertinent to being a member (or leader) of a Chamber team.
