About Us

Rio Grande Academy of Fine Arts (RioGAFA) will be New Mexico's FIRST K-12 arts-integrated school.  Opening Fall 2022, We will be located on the Westside of Albuquerque.  We are currently accepting applications for grades K,1, and 6 for next school year.  If you or someone you know has a student that needs a school that incorporates the arts back into education, then RioGAFA is the place for them!

RioGAFA will include a longer school day for students where at the end of the school day, students will have two arts-focused blocks where they will be able to learn from local New Mexican artists.  

The RioGAFA Founding Team feels strongly that classes must be small in order to give students the attention they deserve.  Class sizes will be no larger than 22 students to allow teachers the opportunity to give individual attention to their students. 

Acceptance is the culture of RioGAFA.  Students should have access to a school that allows them to express themselves and feel like they belong.  RioGAFA is a school that does just that!
