About American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association (AIANTA)
AIANTA's mission is to define, introduce, grow and sustain American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian tourism that honors traditions and values. AIANTAs purpose is to provide our constituents with the voice and tools they need to advance tourism while helping tribes, tribal organizations and tribal members create infrastructure and capacity through technical assistance, training and educational resources.
AIANTA works on behalf of all 567 federally recognized tribes to support and promote cultural tourism in Indian Country. We are the only organization specifically dedicated to advancing Indian Country tourism across the United States, providing national voice and local resources for tribes and tribal organizations to build capacity and achieve their tourism goals.
We are a native led organization with a board of directors made up of American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian representatives from across our six regions with two at-large representatives.
