Instituto Cervantes is an institution that the Spanish government founded in 1991 to promote the teaching, use, and study of the Spanish language and contribute to the advancement of Spanish, Hispanic, and Latin American cultures throughout the world. Instituto Cervantes is located on five continents and has more than 90 centers in more than 43 different countries around the world.
It also has two locations in Spain, Madrid headquarters and the headquarters of Alcal de Henares, the birthplace of the writer, Miguel de Cervantes, and, within its multimedia platform with a reference portal on the Internet about the Spanish language and culture in Spanish: the Virtual Center Cervantes. We offer Spanish courses and cultural activities all year round.
