Relationship Management: The Value of Employee Assistance Programming (EAP)
Bob G. Stice, LPCC
CEO/Clinical Director
Outcomes, Inc.
It is common wisdom in organizational dynamics that success is dependent on the establishment of healthy internal and external relationships. Whatever the product of a business, the creation of the best product possible depends on multiple factors, not the least of which is a healthy workplace environment amenable to healthy relationships between employees and between employees and management. The best product or service imaginable, however, is of limited value without the development of healthy external relationships, i.e. customers and clients who purchase and use the product. A well-established tool for creating and managing a healthy relationship environment, internally and externally, is Employee Assistance Programming or EAP. This presentation will explore the value of EAP within the relationship realm of organizational health, with particular attention to new trends in EAP that address success in the internal/external relationship continuum.
