Velocity, a venture powered by Butler Electric Cooperative and headquartered in El Dorado, Kansas, is a manifestation of the collective pursuit for digital equity in Kansas. Our primary objective is to dissolve the digital divide by extending high-speed Internet accessibility to members of Butler Electric Cooperative and neighboring communities. With a strong grassroots foundation, Velocity is driven by the principles of accessibility, reliability, and advancement, aiming to deliver seamless connectivity that empowers both individuals and businesses.
Having evolved from Butler Electric Cooperative's legacy of providing dependable electric services, our cooperative has served around 7,500 residential and commercial electric meters across seven counties in south-central Kansas. Embarking on a transformative journey, we introduced Velocity in March 2018 as a testament to our commitment to innovation and progress. By venturing into the domain of high-speed Internet provision, we ensure that the benefits of connectivity are no longer restricted but accessible to all, enriching lives and fostering growth within our communities.
