The Baird Chamber of Commerce would like to thank EVERYONE for your support for our very first 2015 Baird Railhead Festival!!!  We will host this event the third weekend of May each year.  Our goal is to add fun activities for all ages to make this event more enjoyable for years to come.  We would like to encourage your thoughts and input either in writing or in person at our next Chamber meeting.  This meeting will be held June 9th at 6:30pm inside the T&P Depot Museum.  We plan to assess the Baird Railhead Festival successes and failures.  Thanks again to all of you for being a part of this exciting combination of events as a way to say "Welcome to Summer!" 

The City of Baird residents and visitors will be able to enjoy its first Fourth of July Fireworks Show held within the City limits.  The location will be determined based on the direction of the wind, but this will take place either downtown or at the City Park.  We will post on our City of Baird Facebook page as we find out.  Hope to see you there!

The City of Baird has heard SO many compliments on our choice of bands for this year's Baird Railhead Festival!  We are pleased with our decision and look forward to working with you at other events held in town.  While we truly need the rain, we are disappointed that our street dance was cut short.  Our plan for next year is to have a back-up plan for holding this dance under a covered structure in the event of bad weather.  We hope that next year's Railhead Festival will have as big of a turnout as this year started out before the storms came through.  Thanks so much for your time!

The 4th Saturday in Baird is a new concept for Baird.  This will be a monthly downtown (Baird Activity Center during cold months) market from 8-2.  We welcome vendors, farmer's market, garage sales around town, etc.  We invite you to participate or shop!  This will be a "first come first serve" on spaces along Market street and on sidewalks between 1st and 2nd street.  Please be mindful of wheelchair access on the sidewalks.  There will be no electricity available at this time.  We ask that you do not set up in front of the businesses that open on Saturday.  Call 325-854-1212 for more information.  We hope to see you on June 27th!
