About Meridian Behavioral Healthcare
Created as a tax-exempt entity in 1972, Meridian has been a part of the lives of thousands; providing a safety net for those in crisis, a source of effective treatment and contributing to the health of the community.
Since then, Meridian has expanded to 16 sites across Central Florida, touching over 22,000 lives through over 325,000 direct care visits a year.

To promote the health, recovery, and well-being of those affected by mental illnesses and substance use disorders through prevention, coordinated treatment, and supportive services.

Our Priorities
Meridian is a private, non-profit organization with roots in the community mental health movement, which began in the 1960s, to bring education about mental illnesses and substance use disorders and treatment of those affected to the local level.
Our mission is evident in all we do, from developing a continuum of treatment services that are evidence-based for a range of illnesses to participate in our communities as a partner in enhancing the quality of life. It is Meridians goal to improve the well-being and health of our patients and community.
