About Us About Us

The Arc North Florida, Inc.
is a membership organization providing advocacy, education and living services for people with disabilities in Baker, Suwannee, Hamilton, Lafayette, and Columbia counties. As a community based and qualified 501(C)(3) charity, The Arc North Florida provides services to adults with a variety of intellectual and developmental disabilities including cerebral palsy, down syndrome, spina bifida and autism. In addition, many of our clients have visual, hearing, physical and emotional disabilities.

Founded in 1981, The Arc North Florida provides training and services to approximately 60 people in a five county North Florida area. A volunteer board of directors, elected by the membership, governs the agency.

At The Arc North Florida, we believe that each person has the right to live how and where they want. We offer our clients the opportunity to live in one of two owned and operated residential homes where they receive training in the daily living and self-care skills necessary to become as independent as possible. We also have Adult Day Training Programs in Live Oak, Jasper, and Macclenny for individuals that would like to learn new skills such as Employability, Health & Safety, and Independence. We also offer Respite services for the caregivers of individuals to have some time off knowing that the individual is under the care of our amazing staff.

The Arc North Florida is working to grow and adapt to fit the needs of the communities we serve. We are looking for ways to expand and would love to hear where help is needed. You can contact us on our website at www.arcnfl.com or call us during regular business hours at 386-362-7143. We would love to hear from you!
