Independence Day Celebration

The 5th Annual Independence Day Celebration was held at Memorial Park on Saturday, July 2nd.  It was a hot day and a great time was had by all who attended as well as the vendors that were able to participate.  The kids and adults enjoyed the game truck and the entertainment was very good throughout the day.  The flag/flagpole dedication that was donated by Woodmen Life and dedicated by the Veteran's Council was a nice addition to this years celebration.  The night was finished with a great fireworks show done by the City of Macclenny Fire Department and a movie in the park which was enjoyed by all.  Thanks again to all of the vendors that participated, to Baker County Medical Services for sponsoring the movie in the park, to Country Federal Credit Union and V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services for sponsoring the game truck, to Phantom Fireworks for sponsoring the fireworks, to all of the entertainers that took time out of their holiday weekend, to the Sheriff's Office Explorers for helping with parking for the event, to Woodmen Life for the flag and flagpole, to the Veteran's Council for organizing the flag/flagpole dedication ceremony and to the City of Macclenny for all of their help with getting the park ready for the event, this would not have been possible without each and everyone of you.
