Lucas Boyce shares a powerful story as a former foster care child, born prematurely to an addict mother, developmentally delayed because of his birth mother’s abuse, Lucas overcame daunting life challenges in pursuit of his dreams.  He eventually overcome the cards he’d been dealt and has served at the White House, flew aboard Air Force One and became an executive for the NBA’s Orlando Magic at the age of 29.  Lucas Boyce currently serves as the Assistant to the County Administrator for Orange County, Florida.  He advises the County Administrator and provides administrative, analytical, and technical support.  He represents the County in meetings and makes presentations to government and business agencies to promote the interest of the County on key issues.  Additional initiatives provide Lucas with the opportunity to be an Advisor to the Financial Aid Network and the Global Institute of College Planning.  Lucas is also author of Living Proof: From Foster Care to the White House and the NBA, published in January 2011.  With over twenty years of professional speaking experience, he travels across the country giving speeches focused on servant leadership, teamwork, overcoming obstacles, and making a positive impact in the lives of others.
