Happy Independence Day

Chamber Fun Night @ Suns Game

Don't miss the fun!  The Chamber is having a fun night at a Jacksonville Suns game Friday, July 20.  The cost is $16.95 and includes your ticket and all-you-can eat hamburgers, hotdogs, popcorn and soft drinks prior to the start of the game.  You can purchase as many tickets as you would like.  We must have payment before we order the tickets.  Call the Chamber at 259-6433 or email bblackshear@bakerchamberfl.com to let us know how many tickets you would like to purchase.

Independence Day Celebration

Baker County, City of Macclenny and the Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring an Independence Day Celebration Saturday, June 30 at Memorial Park.  The event will begin at 4:00 pm and end with a  fireworks display at 9:00 pm.  There will be approximately 35 booths with vendors selling various foods and craft items.  Plan to attend this 1st annual Independence Day Celebration.

Gov. Scott Visits

Governor Rick Scott stopped in at the Chamber office for a one hour visit on Tuesday, June 5th during a five county swing through north Florida. In Baker County the Governor met with local elected officials and members of the Chamber Board of Directors. Gerald Robinson, Commissioner of Education, and Sherri Martin, rural specialist with the Department of Economic Opportunity were also on hand with the Governor. During the informal round table discussion the Govorner listened to comments and answered questions related to economic development, education, prison work crews and Northeast Florida State Hospital.  

Grand opening/Ribbon Cutting

Save a Lot opened for business in the Crossroads Shopping Center on Thursday, May 31st. The day kicked off with a Chamber ribbon cutting at 7:30 am as final preperations were being made for the 8am opening.  This is store number 9 for owners Mike and Mark Boris and will be managed by Mike's son, Mike Jr. We welcome Save a Lot and the Boris' to Baker County and wish them much success with the new store.
