Chamber Christmas Social | Glitz Glam & Goodies
The third annual Glitz Glam & Goodies was held Saturday, May 18 at Macclenny First Baptist Church. It was a fun day with a fashion show presented by Classy Crossroads, an impromptu tutu fashion show performed by some very active little girls, and a myriad of songs performed by Baker County Community Theatre.
There was a variety of booths, including scrumptious cupcakes from Cajun Cupcakes and sweet white chocolate treats made by some ladies with the American Cancer Society. Other vendors included Thirty One, Pampered Chef, Premier Jewelry, YMCA, Scentimental Gifts, etc. The youth of Macclenny FBC worked very hard on cheeseburger lunches they sold as a fundraiser for their summer camps. Each vendor held a free drawing for an item from their booth and raffle prizes were donated by Gibson McDonald, Sydney Ferreira (Mary Kay) and Walmart DC #6099. Thanks to all our vendors for participating in this event, everyone that attended and to our sponsors - Gibson McDonald Furniture, Walmart DC #6099, Oldcastle Southern Group and First Federal Bank of Florida. This year the Independence Day Celebration will be held Thursday, July 4 at the Memorial Park (duck pond) from 5:00-9:00 pm with fireworks following at 9:00 pm. Vendor booths are available for $25 or $35 with electricity. Set-up will begin at 3:00 pm. Contact the Chamber of Commerce at 259-6433 or email bblackshear@bakerchamberfl.com to reserve your booth.
