The Culpepper & Merriweather Circus was a huge success.
It is hard to explain the excitement that built as the line to enter stretched across the entire parking area at the Arena. Even the performers at the Circus were impressed. They said, "We never get crowds like this on a Saturday." It
certainly made us Benson proud!
We would like to thank the many businesses that purchased tickets to be donated to school children and seniors that may not have been able to take advantage of this wonderful event otherwise. To the businesses that helped us sell tickets, we could not have had such a great impact within the community without you.
This was a family friendly event that was also a little easy on the pockets. Nothing was outrageously priced and the kids had a blast on the pony rides and a myriad of different bounce houses.
The scary old clown turned out not to be scary at all. The kids (of all ages) roared with laughter. This was more than just a circus, it was a well honed act worthy of Vegas standards.
We hope to do this again in a couple of years. If you missed it this time, we certainly hope you will come out to support both the community and the Chamber the next time around.
