A little bit about the owner of A&D Graphics and Boutique
"I am a stay at home mom of 7 children and I own a small t-shirt and sign business on the side. My husband works full time and is also a volunteer firefighter for our local fire station. Being a Firefighter is his passion and a very big part of our families life. Most of our friends and family are EMS, Fire or Police. So I feel showing our support for those who have chosen these professions is a must! Most of the items I make to sell are based around these professions. But I love doing custom orders, things that are outside of the box. There is nothing better than taking someones idea and turning it into something wonderful!"

Summer Business Tips

The summer slowdown is inevitable for business in AZ. Sometimes, its impact can negatively affect your business or company. Entrepreneurs, by being proactive, can utilize the summer to gear up for the coming fall rather than stopping their activities for a gained momentum.

Let’s look at the following tips to help your business sizzle during the coming summer.

1. Meet in Person
During summer months, people are more social while the days are longer. Technology has also come to our aid to enhance our capability to stay connected during the year. To catch up for face-to-face contracts, summer is the best time for such businesses. While you enjoy the brilliant summer weather, make good use of the time to build your process.

2. Host a party
All of us love great parties. Host an event to celebrate summer moments. You will also create summer by coming together to have fun as a way of giving thanks to your customers. For your internal team, the summer provides a great time to host an event for them. Ensure you create a fun event for your team of workers so that they can feel appreciated in business.

3. Launch a gratitude campaign
It is not all about saying thank you for meaning you are thankful. You can decide to turn the summer moments a season of appreciation. Be sure to send notes to your clients and customers to remind them you value their business at every moment of your business life. Taking time to show you care and appreciate your clients and customers will go a long way in retaining their business loyalty to you.

4. Offer summer promotions
Special offers and summer sales are part of every business during that season. You will appear pervasive during the summer moments if you offer discounts and special offers if your business is based in the retail industry. This summertime promotion cannot be ideal for every business. However, it is always worth trying out.

5. Get a jump start
During the summer times, the best way to have your business keep growing is working. This is possible with customers and clients on vacation depending on your business. It is also the best time to tackle your projects on hold.

While it’s tempting to succumb to the long siesta during summer, this is the time you must elevate your business momentum for development. These strategies form a way to have your business grow during the summer period as you prepare for a brilliant finish.

Summer is Here!

Circus was a Success!

I don't know about you but I certainly enjoyed Culpepper and Merriweather Circus coming to town last month! What a show! was a great turn out and I want to give a special thanks to our wonderful Mayor Joe Konrad for volunteering to stamp hands and be the guest ringmaster! Thank you to Derek Dion and Dantre Wood, 2 of our Board Members who helped stamp hands as well! Without all of you, none of this would be possible.

Cash Flow Fundamentals-ONLINE
05/17/2022
Online
Facilitated by Pima Community College SBDC
Topic: Cash Flow Management

Many small business owners look at an Income Statement report, also called a Profit & Loss Statement, to measure the performance of their business activities. They also watch the amount of cash they have in the bank and often do not understand how that relates to the Profit and Loss Statement. At the end of the first year in business, the amount of profit usually does not agree with the change in the bank account balance. That can be confusing. In this training session, you will … • Understand the difference between profit and cash flow • Learn how to budget future cash flow using an Excel spreadsheet • See all the sources and uses of cash in one document, not two • Learn simple ways to improve business cash flow
