In Our Community

Rachel Gartner

Benton will play host to the BATSInc B-Town Ball Tournament at the end of the month. From March 31st through April 2nd, 40 youth ball teams from across the tri-state will hit the ballfields at Benton Community Park. Organizers anticipate an approximate 2,000-person attendance. A shuttle bus will provide rides from extended parking at the Civic Center to the ball diamonds. A community wide effort is underway to make our guests feel welcome around the City and encourage them to return year after year. The potential for business around town is stellar, with most folks staying in the area overnight and often looking to local eateries for lunch, dinner and odds and ends.

Be Part of the Conversation

Representative Dave Severin is looking to set up an advisory committee made up of local business leaders. The goal is for Dave to use the committee as a way to learn about how he can be of better assistance to you, while also keeping you all informed on what is going on in Springfield.

Rep. Severin aims at meeting with the committee on quarterly bases to talk about upcoming legislation, local issues, and other concerns the committee may have. The committee will be encouraged to hold meetings with each other outside of the quarterly meetings with Rep. Severin.
