• Leffler Funeral Home of Benton will once again be sponsoring our free movie night series for area families. First of the season will feature the Disney movie Christopher Robin on Thursday, 12/27/18 @ 6pm

• In this heartwarming tale, Christopher Robin, the boy who had countless adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood, has grown up and lost his way. Now it’s up to his spirited and loveable stuffed animals, Winnie The Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and the rest of the gang, to rekindle their friendship and remind him of endless days of childlike wonder and make-believe, when doing nothing was the very best something. 
  
  As always, families are invited to bring a blanket and camp out on the floor together. A limited number of tables and chairs will be set up for those wanting to avoid the carpet. Full concessions will be available for the show featuring Casey's Pizza!

  We are competing with other regional chambers on a special promotion surrounding the Mayor's Cup game on January 2nd.  Use the code "BENTON" at check out, and it will put us in the running.  The chamber with the most tickets sold will get recognition at the game and $500 for our local community!! 
The Mt.Vernon Executive Director is already bragging that they are going to take home the Trophy and $500 check.  I know that Ranger Nation can rise to the challenge and bring home that Trophy and prize money for Benton!  SIU Tickets are typically $20 each but when you follow the link and enter promo code BENTON you will receive your tickets for $10 each.  I want to fill the stands with Ranger Fans and show SIU that Benton IL supports its Athletes and its community.

Benton City Council Meeting

The Benton City Council meets ton the second and fouth Monday of the month.  Meetings take place in the conference room downstairs, an elevator is available for those who need it.  The meeting agenda is available on bentonil.com the Friday before the meeting.
