Ribbon Cutting Tuesday February 12, 2019 Keyaki Sushi Hibachi Steakhouse - 100 N Central - Benton @ 2:00 pm. This is located in the shopping plaza beside McDonalds. We would encourage all of our members to join us if you possibly can to welcome Dina Ming Ki and the staff to Benton / West City. Board Meeting Thursday February 14th at 8:30 am @ the Chamber Office inside the Ford Museum Any member of the Chamber can attend the board meeting it is not just for Board Members. We have had a great turn out lately and encourage everyone to attend. This Month we will have Waffles with Strawberry Syrup and whip topping so come early , get some breakfast and visit a little before the meeting starts. Rend Lake Water Festival Meeting February 25th 12:00 pm for lunch @ LaFiesta If you are interested in helping plan this years festival, and can not attend the meeting, please contact the Benton West City Chamber Office. Quarterly Luncheon March quarterly luncheon will be at Joe's Pizza March 27,2019 at 12:00. Franklin County Farm Bureau will be hosting the luncheon. Security Officer, 40 hours a week, shift 3pm - 11 pm , March through November. 2.Grounds Keeper, Hours will vary according to weather, March through November Contact Bill Nelms 618-525-8502 New Article will provide an understanding for the law-abiding citizen’s right to self-defense. The participants will develop skills and attitudes essential for the safe and effective use of a handgun for the protection of self and family. Further, coverage will be provided on mental awareness, how to avoid victimization, and mindset development for use of a firearm when faced with a life threatening encounter. This course will review basic gun safety rules for guns in the home, travel and concealed carry. Also covered will be the responsibility of firearm ownership laws, how to legally travel with a firearm and the justified use of lethal force. Students will be required to participate in classroom and firearms range activities and demonstrate basic live-fire handgun proficiency. Benton Park Summer Ball Benton Park District Board News Release The Benton Park District Board would like to announce a new look for this year in regards to our area Summer Baseball and Softball programs. We are excited to have the opportunity to host and coordinate this program and continue the tradition of offering baseball and softball to our kids in this area. Our primary goal will be to provide the players with a meaningful experience and opportunity for growth in their skills as a player and sportsmanship. We thank you for your support and hope to make the Summer of 2019 a successful one.
