About River Mountains Trail Partnership Advisory Council
The River Mountains Trail Partnership is working to expand and protect trail opportunities in and around the rapidly urbanizing Las Vegas Valley for the benefit of local Communities, their residents, and visitors to the region through the development of the River Mountains Loop Trail. The Loop Trail will be completed through a collaborative partnership, linking Lake Mead National Recreation Area's Boulder Basin, including Hoover Dam, to its neighboring communities and connected to multi-use local and regional trail networks, encompassing hundreds of miles of trails within and between parks, and communities in and around the Las Vegas Valley.
The River Mountains Loop Trail is a 35-mile loop trail around the River Mountains. It is for hiking, biking, running, jogging, horse back riding and other non-motorized uses.
The trail is paved and averages 12' feet in width. Trail offers recreation and transportation to Boulder City, Henderson, Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, Lake las Vegas and connects to other trails. The Partnership is composed of residents and agency personnel who care about this important resource. The Partnership is a project of the Outside Las Vegas Foundation.
