Gift Basket Dazzle - Member Spotlight of the Week
This weeks' Coldwater Chamber "Member Spotlight of the Week" recognition is going to Marilyn Ostrander (Owner/Operator of Gift Basket Dazzle). Read more below on why Marilyn feels that Gift Basket Dazzle deserves this weeks' Spotlight recognition!
Gift Basket Dazzle creates “Dazzling” custom gift baskets for all occasions. Marilyn Ostrander, owner of Gift Basket Dazzle, has a passion for creating personalized gifts. Starting her business a little over a year ago, Marilyn has expanded her studio to include a showroom and a production room. Marilyn says “our unique niche is personalization and customization and we use only the finest gourmet foods and specialty items in our baskets”.
Marilyn attended the National Gift Basket Convention in Phoenix, Arizona in August. She went to learn about the new trends in gift basket design, including containers and gourmet foods, but ended up winning first place in the Mini-Gift competition and passing the test to receive the National Gift Designer Certification. She previously received certification for the Real Estate Gifting Program. Marilyn is the only nationally certified gift designer in Michigan.
One specialty that sets Gift Basket Dazzle apart from other gift stores is custom printed ribbons with personal messages, graphics and logos. Sublimated gifts and glass etching are new additions to the personalization line. When the new Gift Basket Dazzle website is launched on Friday, September 28, customers will find Card Isle, which has over 9000 greeting cards to choose from. These cards are accessed online and the client can create a completely personalized message. The cards will be printed on the high quality card printer at Gift Basket Dazzle and can be picked up at the studio, or included with a gift.
Gift Basket Dazzle’s corporate line is completely personalized. Taking time to appreciate clients, customers, employees and business associates is always an important investment. During a consultation with corporate clients, Marilyn seeks to learn how a business would like to be represented, about any marketing products they would like to have included in their baskets and about the personalities of those who are receiving the gifts. Corporate clients often purchase “thank you” gifts for clients, gifts for prospective clients, gifts for employees (birthdays, babies, weddings, accomplishments, etc.) and gifts to donate for community events and fundraisers.
